As part of its programmes and efforts in ensuring the underprivileged children are not left out or forgotten in the quest of a better life through viable educational pursuit devoid of hunger and discrimination, The Feeders Foundation executed its yearly scholarship scheme for the children living in the slum of Sogunro community in Iwaya/Makoko area of Yaba Local Government in Lagos State.
The scholarship scheme is designed to encourage the indigent parents living in the slum to appreciate the importance and value of education while having the desired hope that by being educated, there is a better tomorrow for their children. In the 2022 scholarship scheme, fifteen children were given full scholarship which includes tuition fee payment, provision of stationery and free feeding programme. Tens of others were given partial scholarship ranging from daily free feeding for the academic year or the provision of stationery for the entire academic session.
The founder, the planning committee and the technical team of the foundation appreciated their sponsors; United Parcel Service (UPS), Rite Foods, Checkers Africa, De-United Foods as well as members of The Feeders Family for their continuous support and encouragement in their mission to ensure that the less privileged children are given hope for a better future.
